One of my goals for Tyson was for him to earn the DPCAs Register of Merit (ROM) award. In order to be a ROM, a Doberman has to have their AKC Championship, a qualifying working title and pass the DPCA Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE). For Tyson’s working title, I chose agility. I never trained a dog in agility, so needless to say, Tyson and I learned a lot together. Thank goodness he’s a forgiving and patient dog.
Our first agility trial is now over and we qualified with a score of 100 for our first Novice Jumpers with Weaves Preferrred leg. I’m glad that first trial is over. Tyson did great – it’s me who needs a LOT of work!
