About Mirabel Dobermans
I got my first Doberman in 1980 and have had at least one ever since.
My 1st Doberman was Duke and while he was pet quality, we learned a lot together. He was a very head strong male Doberman! As an adult he would open the refrigerator, cabinets, and doors to get what he wanted. As my Doberman family grew through the years, I placed him in a relative’s home after they were burglarized. They never had any more problems after Duke joined their family!
When my children were born, I stopped showing dogs as the travel and financial commitment weren’t feasible. But a Doberman was always a member of my family, even though I was not active in showing.
In 2005, the children were growing up and we were ready to get back into showing so my husband Jim and I purchased a new family member, “Tyson” aka BISS AKC/MBIS UKC GRCH / Intl Ch Talladega’s American Thunder RN OA OAJ NF NJP CL-3 CGC ROM VCX. Tyson finished all of his titles owner-handled and in limited showing.
We had Tyson’s red daughter, “Zini”. Shown on a limited basis, Zini finished her championship quickly, always owner handled, and had her Open agility titles in AKC and her CPE Agility Trial Championship (CATCH). Zini finished her AKC Grand Championship undefeated for Select wins with SIX majors.
We have Vida, another Tyson daughter. Vida is the clown of the house and if we aren’t laughing because of her antics, we’re being amazed by her intelligence and ability to open gates and doors.
From our May 2014 litter, we have Tyson’s granddaughter “Dorie”. Breeder/Owner handled out of bred-by and American Bred, with a 5 point major at the Detroit DPC Specialty, Dorie finished her championship in November 2017 after taking time out for motherhood. Dorie also has her Open barnhunt title.
From our April 2017 litter we have Dorie’s daughter, Diana. Diana easily finished her championship at 12 months of age, finishing at the April 2018 Atlanta DPC specialty in Perrry GA. She went on to win the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s National Specialty in October 2019 under judge Terry Hundt. She is a Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show Winner as well. She was a two time Top 20 DPCA finalist.
From our Sept 2020 litter we have Diana’s daughter Demi who finished in 4 weekends from first point to last from the bred by class at 10 months of age.
I am an active member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA). Since 2007 I have been the Longevity Chairperson. Since 2008 I have been the DPCA Webmaster . I was corresponding secretary and board member for the DPCA from 2009-2011. I am currently the 1st Vice President.
Although we enjoy showing our Dobermans, they are first and foremost a member of our family here in Southwest Ohio.
As members of the DPCA, we follow the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s Code of Ethics.
For more information visit the DPCA at www.dpca.org
We do not condone or support the breeding of the “white”/albino Doberman as it is a genetic mutation.
