Zini went to her first Doberman Pinscher Club of America National this year which was held in Topeka, KS. I wasn’t able to get to the show soon enough to show her at the Regional shows, so she hitched a ride with a friend.
Zini’s red brother, Tulsa, placed 3rd in regional sweeps and 2nd in regional puppy class. Her black sister, Shiva, won her regional puppy class of 10. Zini placed 3rd out of 10 in regional puppy and 5th out of 20 in regional sweeps. This was Zini’s first time being away from “mom”, and she handled it very well for a 6 month old baby.
A few days after regional competition, came the National. First up was the futurity. This is where a litter is nominated before they’re even born. Learn more about the DPCA futurity here. Bullet took a 4th in 6-9 month black dogs; Tulsa took a 2nd in 6-9 month any other allowed color dogs; Zini took a 4th in 6-9 month any other allowed color bitches. Again, a nice showing for the babies.
After futurity came the National show. The black boy Bullet won his 6-9 month black dog class while Tulsa got a 2nd in 6-9 month any other allowed color dogs. Zini took a 3rd in the 6-9 month any other allowed color bitch class.
So all in all, the 4 puppies did really really well!
This is Zini on her free stack at the National.
Zini placed in 3 out of 4 shows. Thanks to May Jacobson for this nice placement in the regular classes.
